Our goal is to provide our client families with memorable remembrance experiences and to celebrate their loved one's life and time they shared. As the oldest family owned funeral home in Monmouth and Ocean Counties, we are proud of our tradition of family ownership, fairness, professionalism and integrity while serving countless local families in their time of sorrow. Surviving are two brothers, Phil Cook and his wife Connie, Urich, Mo., and Roy Lee Cook and his wife Linda, North. Freeman, his sons, Glenn and Kevin, and his granddaughter, Natalie Freeman, and the entire staff of the Freeman Funeral Homes, wish to thank you for putting your trust in the Freeman family name. Elton served in the United States Army Guard. A service will be held Saturday, December 19, at 11:00 a.m. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Ardis Cook brothers, Henry and Philip Cook and sister, Doris Polli. Harry is survived by his wife of 43 years, Pat daughters, Lisa (Scott) Bischoff, Tina (Ian Kennedy) Cook, and Rebecca (Chris) Sicilia grandsons, Kincade, Kyle, Trevor, Benjamin, Logan, Gabe, and Malcolm sister, Lois Scholz and numerous nieces and nephews. An avid reader, Harry enjoyed mysteries and histories, but most particularly he loved his well-worn Terry Pratchett novels. Sporting his signature golf cap, Harry could be found smoking a cigarette, drinking coffee with his buddies at Denny’s, sprinkling salt in his beer, telling a long story, or playing with his beloved grandchildren. A devoted basketball fan, Harry watched and attended many Blazers games. Upon meeting Pat Beeson on a blind date in 1964, Harry was immediately smitten and proposed six weeks later. He later worked as a credit manager at Portland and Vancouver furniture stores.
